Boingo Wireless; Boingo Software Available in Most Popular Mobile Marketplaces
Boingo Wireless, the global leader in Wi-Fi, now provides its easy-to-use software for worldwide WiFi access in the most popular mobile marketplaces, as well as on Boingo's Download Center. The software enables smartphones across a wide range of mobile operating systems with one-click access to high-speed WiFi in more than 125,000 hotspots around the world.
Smartphone users can download and install the Boingo Mobile application from the following mobile marketplaces: Android(TM) Marketplace, Apple(c) App Store, Blackberry App World(TM), Nokia(R) Ovi Store, Sony Ericsson PlayNow(TM) arena, and Windows Mobile Marketplace(R). They can also visit the "Download Center" on www.boingo.com and choose the appropriate version of the software for their mobile device.
The free Boingo Mobile application improves the Wi-Fi user experience for smartphone owners by providing a convenient, automated way to connect. It proactively notifies users when they are in a Boingo hotspot, and connects to the Boingo network with a single click.
"Many network operators have reported that Internet connections on smartphones are now outpacing those on laptops - clearly consumers value the ability to get online while on-the-go," said Jonathan Mendelson, general manager of mobile and product management. "The availability of Boingo's software in various app stores means smartphone users can easily download the software and gain access to our worldwide hotspot service for an optimal online experience."
So-called "app stores" have become the de facto method by which users discover mobile applications, including Boingo Mobile Wi-Fi. With its proliferation across all major mobile marketplaces, smartphone owners now have easy access to Boingo's free software, as well as the ability to leverage Boingo's low-cost, high-speed service for all of their multimedia applications.
